Hi all,

I went to fill my ms-contin script. I have Medicare plus an HMO. Now, with the

new drug plans, due to my income (or lack thereof) I am exempt from the $250

deductible.

I have been calling Community Care (HMO) everyweek to make sure they have this

info. I ran out of ms-contin (morphine) on Sat, so by today, was NOT in a good

space. (plus having stomach/gallbladder probs, too ) First, I had to go to 3

different pharmacies to find one that had 60 pills. The first two only had 30,

and wouldn't do a half-fill on the script.

I finally get it filled. $106!!!! Now, according to the new formulary, it

should be costing me $20.

Because I already had been running around since 8am, had to have an abdominal

ultrasound, which I am waiting for the docs office to call for the results. And,

I know once I hit the 3rd day with no morphine, I start going thru withdrawals

(not fun). I paid it. I have all the paperwork, and will be calling the

insurance co. tomorrow to find out what the heck is going on. Before the new

changes, my ms-contin was $57/month.

I have just had a very frustrating day. Kids are out of school AGAIN. Teacher

conferences. They've only been back a week. Our kids are special needs, and this

wreaks havoc with thier schedules. When I got home, I just went in my room and

cried. I needed a good cry today.

who is SOOOOOO glad you all are here for me to vent with.
