Guest guest
I got the Humira assistance card from my doc. I called my mail order pharmacy to find out how to use the card. First they told me they would not accept the card...but I could use it at the local pharmacy. I told the rep..well you said I can not get humira from local pharmacy. I have to get it from you because I do not have injectable drug coverage in my plan and I must use major medical. He said you are correct..that was for LAST YEAR. I asked how could that be? I just got the humira last week. He said yes but your order was placed before december 31st...so you came under last years plan... This years plan has a HUGE co-pay for humira...so I guess I got a freebie three months...cause the next time I fill it...its going to hurt!! AFter the disaster with the mail-order pharmacy I think I will go get my meds monthly...its a pain to stand in the line every month...but at least I know it will not get dumped on my porch in the hot sun for me to find whenever!! So for now I have three months that I am OK. Then I have the SIX months for up to $300 off humira...so I will be ok for a total of nine months....after that...well I guess I will either have to find patient assistance if we qualify or stop the drug. It seems like my insurance company likes to charge stuff in threes...$30 co-pays that jump to $50 then $70. Some days you really want to " stick it to the man!!!!
