I don't think it is connected to RA but I am no doc.

I had this once when I was trying to take archery in college. They gave me

meds (antiinflammatory) and it hurt like heck for awhile but finally went

away.

Mine was in the wrist not the elbow though.

I have been diagnosed with RA for over two years. I take methotrexate

and enbrel. I continue to have ongoing problems with what my doctor

refers to as tendonitis. The worst affected area is my elbow. I get

cortisone shots in my elbows, shoulders, wrists, etc... Do others have

this problem? Is it from the RA or not? I don't think I have ever

gotten a clear answer from my doctor.

I have permanent tendonitis in my right elbow that I know came from RA. It

ate the tendon away from the bone, almost, and still hurts when I do certain

things. Otherwise, I'm used to it after about 10 years. It hasn't gotten

worse, and for that I'm thankful.

Yes, tendonitis is definitely associated with RA. I have had much of it.

I was just told today by my doctor that the tendonitis I have in my

shoulders is due to RA.
