Guest guest
Thanks Rainy, I found this to be very helpful also. I know our a is always telling us to drink water. My problem is I don't like water and I never feel thirsty. The only way I can get fluid in is by drinking green tea but even then I only manage about 5 cups per day. Guest guest
June, Did your ever try getting extra liquid in your system by drinking crystal Light, they have some pretty good flavors, none of them very sweet and all sugar free, Also minute maid has several light canned drinks, I especially like the cherry/lime aide As you can tell i get tired of all the water, and at least these drink ks are non-carbonated and low or sugar free, in WI June Dixon <juner24@...> wrote: Thanks Rainy, I found this to be very helpful also. Guest guest
June, 5 cups of green tea is probably adequate for someone your size. It's probably close to 40 oz that you're taking in just in the green tea. You also get water from foods, especially fruits. Do you like lemon? I enjoy squeezing some lemon juice in my water for a change. I never used to like water either, in fact I HATED it. Now it's really my main drink and I actually like it. a On May 19, 2006, at 7:41 AM, June Dixon wrote: > Thanks Rainy, I found this to be very helpful also. Guest guest
Hi June, I have the same problem, I don’t like water. (I’m also a ) in WI is right about the crystal light drinks. They are GOOD! Do try those. Another one I drink during the summer is iced tea. One of the other things I do, bcs I do get dehydrated easily, I load my fridge full of popsicles and eat 2 at a time besides whatever I am drinking. Plus, in this hot weather – it’s in the 80’s currently – the popsicles cool me way down, and we know heat and arthritis don’t mix well. My fingers are all swelled up now bcs of the heat. My popsicles save me during the hot weather. One way I get myself to drink water is buy it in the bottles. I will NOT drink tap water, it makes me gag. But it really does work to have a 16.9 fl. oz. bottles of water in the fridge, easy to grab and just go. Besides all that, I eat fruit that has water. For me, during the summer mostly, it all comes down to what has water. Oh, I think it's crystal light, they have small flavor packets that are made just for water bottles. Just put them in your bottle of water and shake and go. No excuses to not get enough water, right a? ~Rainy June Dixon <juner24@...> wrote: Thanks Rainy, I found this to be very helpful also. Guest guest
I pretty well got tired of tap water, also, so I bought a filter that goes on the kitchen sink faucet. I added one to the fridge while I was at it. Now, I fix tea by the gallon and mix mine half water and half tea, and add water as I feel like it. It flavors the water enough to make it interesting again. I have some Gatorade mix that I add on occasion, and I add lemon juice. It's a lot cheaper, certainly less than a gallon of gas. Bottled water is too high, bordering on the obscene. Dennis Re: [ ] water link Hi June, I have the same problem, I don't like water. (I'm also a ) in WI is right about the crystal light drinks.
