Rectal bleeding with MTX???

Hi all,

I have had these recent bouts of rectal bleeding (on the paper only)

which I think is from a hemorrhoid. Has anyone else had this while on

MTX?? I was wondering if there was a relation between that and my

recent increase in my MTX dose. This is so embarrassing. I hate to

bother the doctor unnecessarily. I would appreciate your advice.

Thanks.

We, my doctor and I, assumed mine was the result of the Pred, not MTX. Maybe

we were wrong? I have no reason to think it was because of MTX. That's all I

know...

no, but I do have problmes with hemorrholds.

I have found the best thing for hemorrholds is to keep cotten pads

around & every time that I have a bm, after I have clean that rectom,

then I moisten the cotton pad with witch hazel. and wipe the hemorids

with the moistened cotton pad. esp in the opening hold of the rectem.

I also learned to keep a foot stool in the bathroom, so when it is bm

time, I can place my feet on the top of the foot stool & it aids in

passing the bm. the hicked up feet gives the stomace muscles extra

support to push the bm out.

hope this information helps you in some way.
