Guest guest
welcome to the group Doris! I had one nodule on the side of my hand in early 2005...when I was on the Methotrexate therapy, the nodule slowly disappeared! This is just my experience, it might not happen to other people. You are NOT alone with RA, I woke up one Saturday morning in January 2005 and could not move. In a matter of WEEKS the joints in my right wrist were totally destroyed! I'm only 38 and never thought this would happen to me, I thought I would be taking care of all the other sick people in my family, but the tables have turned! On a brighter note, there are so many new meds out there for you and your doctor to try! Good luck to you and welcome to the group! Guest guest
Hi Doris, Im glad you found us! I found it about a month ago and it has been a God send after & years of suffering alone. I too have nodules. Primarily on my elbows, which have already begun making flexing my arms uncomfortable, and even a little difficult in the am. And SHOES!!! Ug...they have become my nemesis! It's like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. ANd if it fits, it hurts. Last week however, my dear mom got sick of watching me come home day after day of shoe shopping, empty handed and frusterated. So she took me to a store she knew of called Hersheys that carries brands that have wides and even double wides. She ended up buying me a pair of shoes called " Quests " . They slide on without ties or zippers to contend with, and the tops are almost like mesch, so they acomadate my oh-so-pretty bunions. SO far so good! Another brand that has a similar style, as well as many other neat styles is " Merrils " . For what it's worth, I just heard an interview with Bergen saying that all she will wear is Merrils. So, RA and all...we can still be as glamorous as the stars! : ) All joking aside Doris, I really am glad you found your way here. You are not alone. Just wait to you get to know some of the amazing people here. Im continually impressed. Guest guest
Hi! Thanks for your e-mail. Nodules are strange things. Some of my nodules slowly disappeared when I stopped methotrxate (spelling??) The nodules are on my toes more than hands. Most of the hand ones are gone exsept for one. Seems like tiny ones are starting on my left ring finger and little finger. Interesting life we lead. Thanks again new friend. This RA-Support group is wonderful. renee' kirby <dakirb1@...> wrote: welcome to the group Doris!
