Guest guest
I am not sure how you feel about that but I would get a second opinion too. but then I am in a similar situation and procrastinating about it. I really hate going to the dentist. I usually end up the lab rat. Very bad experiences at the dentist over many years. However, I think the dental problems are common with Ra and maybe other autoimmune disorders, just because of the condition keeping you in bed for long hours, certain meds destroying teeth, and conditiions themselves attacking teeth. best wishes peace and healing, Ebony --------------------------------- goes everywhere you do. Guest guest
The idea of getting a second opinion is good, but I've had to turn down meds because I couldn't afford them, so why would I want to spend too much again for another 'do nothing for me' waste of money? I go to a doctor and Medicare helps me pay for it. I go to a dentist and I'm stuck with the entire bill. Besides, the dentist I see is by far the cheapest in the area, and he's only open 3 days a week. I'm going to have to sit back and learn what I can concerning my options. Now that I've had a little more education about dentistry and RA/Sjogrens, maybe I can do enough to slow (mask) the problem for a while.
