Guest guest
Pricisilla: I know that you're very worried about your hubby, and I can only imagine the stress that you must be experiencing. Almost 2 years ago, I noticed a " lump " near my ear, close to my jaw joint. It never went away after a few days, and I ended up having an MRI of my neck/cervical area. That came back showing several lymph nodes inflammed, quite large, and that usually isn't good. After being told that it may be lymphoma, I was sent to a Specialist to have two biopsies done. Thankfully, everything came back negative. Little did I know that the inflammed lymph nodes were my body's way of telling me that I was fighting off an infection. I still have the enlarged nodes, and apparently, it's my body's way of reacting to the RA and MS. I have had regular MRI's, and my lymph nodes are still enlarged throughout my body. Because of my current diagnosis, and with the biopsy and bloodwork coming back negative, I was told it was " normal " . My son who is 11, also gets enlarged lymph nodes on the back of his neck whenever he has the slightest cold or flu. I have brought him to the doctor's office a few times, worried about it. I was told it's okay, and again, it's his body's way of reacting to infection. I hope and pray your hubby is going to be okay. I hope that it's nothing more than his body's way of reacting to the illness he's been fighting. Always get a second opinion, when in doubt.
