Guest guest
I'm not sure, but I suspect the plane shown on the news had to be yours. It almost touched down and then started wobbling and waving, so the pilot took it around and landed on the second try. I've flown in many countries, even operated the controls, but have never had anything like the one I experienced going from San to Carlsbad, NM. I started off in a jet to Midland, then had to transfer to Tree Top Airlines (TransTexasAirlines) to get to Roswell, NM. It was on a DC-3 and flew backwards, sideways, upside down, and anything else you could imagine for more than an hour. I didn't get too sick, but was close to the barf-bag the entire time. My driver picked me up at the airport, and I told him he'd better not hit a bump or hole or I'd throw up all over him. He was most careful during the remainder of the trip. I hope all goes well with your upcoming new family. Dennis in Eastexas " It's not Rocket Surgery " [ ] Lost Touch so checking in > Hi all! Rhonda [ ] Lost Touch so checking in Hi all! I have been moping around, trying to deal with all my aches and pains as weather changes have caused me to hurt more. Have been looking at posts but did not feel I had anything to contribute. However, good things are happening as I'm getting married sometime next year to a wonderful man that I've known for several years. He said he wanted to go looking for a ring for me next week. Right now I'm up visiting my daughter and family in Battle Ground, WA and he's still in Texas, but he will be here next Tuesday evening. I'm excited and so happy about all of this. My trip here was the worst airline flight I've even been on. The weather here in WA was bad with high winds. When we left TX we didn't even know if we would be able to land in Portland, OR as planned. However, we started decending into that airport with lots of turbulance as we came in. We were over the Columbia River when a gust of wind caused us to go too low over the water and the pilot had to immediately take the plane back up into the air. He circled the airport to try again and we all we scared. I was praying the whole time he was bringing the plane and we landed safely. It was a very scary situation and one I hope to never have again. I'm tired today as it was very late and into the wee hours of the morning before I got to sleep, but am going out shopping with my daughter in a while. Hope everyone has a wonderful and joyous Christmas.
