Thanks you guys for the replies. Does anyone have any suggestions

about requesting temporary disability. I have been putting it off

for quite a while, but the pain and fatigue are just too terrible

right now. I have my first visit with the Rheumatologist next

Wednesday, and I want to mention it to her then depending on how the

visit goes. Any suggestions on how to NOT sound like I just don't

want to work? The reason I've put off trying to get the temporary

disability is that I'll go absolutely BATTY not working, I'm

slightly a workaholic. I am just afraid of waiting any longer

because it could be weeks until my next appointment.

thanks guys!

Hi there! I was a workaholic all of my life too. Now,

I am 46 and I am not able to to anything anymore. I

pushed it too far. Ask for the leave of abscence with

temp disability, and do not go back until YOU are

ready, not your boss. Otherwise, I promise that you

will live to regret it. Best of luck, Tami
