Mine did not hurt at all, and they removed a precancerous polyp.

I was awake the whole time.....

NOT to worry. Just get it done...

There is no need to drink that stuff any longer. There are pills, however it's

a LOT of pills and you still need to drink a lot of water. It is, in my

opinion, much better. That other stuff was just down right ugly!

It didn't hurt me at all, because I was completely konked out. I wasn't

aware of a thing. I don't know what was in that IV, but it was good

stuff, lol. The worst part is spending all of that time in the bathroom

beforehand.

I too was out, and when I woke it was if nothing had happened. The cleanout is

the only bad part.

I don't think you can drink pop, you can have water, sports drink

(sugared/flavored water), and I think also, clear broth.

There should be no discomfort or pain from the colonoscopy. Generally you are

either asleep or in la-la land. The rough part is the cleaning out. It's most

unpleasant but I would not call it painful.

I agree with Patsy. I had one several years ago and the toughest part

was the cramping and time before the test that you spend in the restroom.

I was given a little something to relax me but was awake and they kept

telling me to look at the screen. No thank you. I just felt a little

discomfort

but nothing too bad.

, The purpose of a colonoscopy is to see if there are polyps, lesions, pockets or other problems in your colon . . . It's doubtful they'll find out why you're constipated . . . One thing for sure, by the time you have the exam, you'll be thoroughly cleaned out!. A gastro doctor can tell you . .. Usually they don't do this test until you're older, or have a specific problem that fits their criteria. Increasing your intake of Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc/Vitamin D until you're no longer constipated will probably help with muscle pain and sleep as well. Hugs, Rogene
