No wonder you wanted to move back to Aussieland...you get to celebrate

everything before us! Happy New Year!

Not a single Coke?? Now your cutting down on Bread??? (hanging my

head) I feel so weak! Seriously...super congrats on sticking to a New

Years resolution and turning it into a life-change. Good for you.

My resolution is to make life better for my family, reduce stress

levels whenever possible, smile more, relax and educate myself.

Educate my children, enjoy life and the world around.

Debi,

Thank you for posting this... I can pretty much just hit " Print " and take your

name off the top and place mine there and then just hang it inside my kitchen

pantry over my 2007 resolutions!

You just saved me some time. teeheehee

Happy New Year,

I resolve for 2008 to cook from scratch using all-natural ingredients

in a healthy way more often than 2007 -- I'm too ashamed to tell you

how little that would need to be to beat 2007, so that will stay

within the fam, lol

I resolve for 2008 to weigh less throughout the year. Part of me would

like an ideal weight number, but that's a lot of weight. So, my goal

is to be less. In the words of my weight loss counselor, " as long as

it takes it will take, " so I resolve to continue that process

throughout 2008. Not giving up by January 3rd, but accepting I will

have bad days and days I will make bad choices; that does not give me

permission to quit and become a full-fledged glutton.

I resolve for 2008 to spend more time with The Lord each and every

day. I have fallen out of daily fellowship with The Lord and resolve

to spend time every day to receive His Word and confess my many sins,

as well as pleading before Him my desires, learning to accept His way

is not my way, and fellowship with my Maker.

I resolve for 2008 to be the best student I can be. I will not create

idealistic GPA numbers or assume that I can suddenly become straight A

in every subject; rather I resolve to spend more time interested in

the subject matter, more time sorting through information my

professors deem important, and more time working " as working unto The

Lord. "

I resolve for 2008 to be a better example to my kids, and a better

wife to my husband. I will not create a false expectation that the

house will always be spotless (since it never has) nor will I create

such an idealistic vision that I cannot attain. I resolve to find new

ways to teach our home organization, to put more emphasis on finishing

one project before starting another, and buying less and throwing out

even more that we do not use. I need to understand no matter how much

I may at times resent the role of " helpmate " when I feel the need for

help so often, it is nonetheless my role and rather than casting

stones as to what my family could/should/would to for me, I should

look inward for what I can/shall/will do to fulfill my role for my

family. Through looking inward and fulfilling my role, I will set the

example for my children and husband, and move our family toward

greater contentment.

I like yours, too. Cook healthier, lose weight, spend more time w/ the

Lord (the Believing God Bible study by Beth was a good start--I'm

planning to do another Bible study that begins in a couple of weeks) and

be a better wife and mom, get organized.

Just need to have a more positive outlook on life & get over the chronic

depression, lack of lust for life, be able to enjoy & appreciate the " small "

things in life....a beautiful sunset (which we have lots of in AZ), being

able to FEEL & not just go thru the motions of living.

Plan on exercising more & the cooking from scratch was a good one for me

too. Actually, I just need to cook more & less eating out. LOL I have a

new Gazelle which is in front of the TV (not that I sit around watching TV &

eating bon bons) but if I'm killing time in front of the TV, at least I

should be off my butt....
