Betty,

Thank you.

Now to be honest I'm a bit thick when it comes to birdies. I know we saw a

few loons when we were in Canada last year. (I still need to add the Canada

photos to the web site) and I know we don't have " loons " over here. What I

can't remember is if we just call them by a different name.... If I ever

find out I'll let you know.

I'm off on a whale watching trip across the Bay of Biscay (between England

and Spain) in a few weeks. If I get any decent pictures I'll post them. At

least I got my nice lens back from being fixed by Canon this morning. It

packed up on the puffin trip......

Don't know if I told you yet, but your pictures are just wonderful. I

have them saved to my favorites. Do you ever see loons in the British

Isles? They are my totem animal, and I have never seen one other than

in a picture. I for one love nature photos. Keep on showing them and

I'll keep adding to favorites. Thanks so much for sharing.

A loon by any other name would be a duck, I guess. There are different names

and I'd have to break out my bird book. To much info in the brain can be

fatal, so I resort to reference quite often. Unless.....it's buried in one of

my

organized piles!

Patiently waiting for Canada pictures. I'm sure you will be seeing plenty of

crane, heron, or egret type birds in the Bay. Birds, besides gulls, are a

marvelous way to find whales and such. We have migrations of Orca whales and

occasionally large Gray whales here in Washington's Puget Sound. In addition to

the whales, nearly Hood Canal is host to giant octopus and squid. Our

pristine salt waters provide clams, oysters, and salmon that are shipped around

the

world daily. The air is filled with the melody of one bird type, another or a

beautiful symphony of all. The pond behind my home is alive with amphibious

croaks in spring and the loudest chorus of cricket leg-rubbing in the fall.

I have many friends that are full Native American of several of the local

tribes around this area, mainly Squaxin and Skokomish. By treaty, they have the

greatest access to the Puget Sound and Hood Canal fishing rights. Several

years ago, they were fishing in the northeastern part of Hood Canal with their

nets, and lo and behold.....they caught the biggest fish of them all; a nuclear

sub from the nearby Naval Bangor Submarine Base. The moral.....never know

what you'll find in Hood Canal. (By the way, I just found out, Bangor, which is

only about 45 miles north of here as the crow flies, has the greatest nuclear

concentration of the whole US. And I didn't use to worry about N. Korea!)

Now I'm rambling. Yes, I love wildlife. Give me more, more, more. And

thanks again, ahead of time, for sharing your adventures around the European

waters.

Ah yes. Ducks. We do have them over here! Several types as it happens.

We have nuclear subs too. They have been known to sink the odd fishing boat

in Scotland. Evidently the top of a nuclear sub is harder than the bottom of

a trawler....

Guess we aren't so different eh?

Courage,

You'll be with me in my thoughts, I promise.

More importantly, after the caring is over and when the grieving is

subsiding why don't you have some time away. Come see us in England. I'm

sure a few of us have spare bedrooms you can borrow. I'll show you the

sights of London if you'd like that.....

, I would adore that! The problem is a fear of flying and I don't know

if I can ever get over that other than taking horse pills and drinking

myself silly before boarding the plane! :0

Courage,

If you really want something enough...... And if you are strong and

determined....

I won't expect you tomorrow. Just let me know which plane you are on!

Great catch! Did you eat it?

My family and I went fishing off the coast of Brighton some weeks ago

and caught loads of mackerel, which we barbecued the following day.

It's the first time I've ever caught anything and it was great fun.

The children are hooked! (so to speak)

Happy New Year to all.

You look great le! Cute grand kiddoes. P.S. The prep h didn't do a dang

thing for me either. However the generic anusol and tucks pads are doing good.

Just getting the suppository up there is the problem. I did manage to get half

a one to melt inside. TMI? LOL Can't wait to see your before pictures. Have

a great day!

Jenni,

Thanks. I hate to even look at the before photos. Just a little

clarification, the little girl is mine. She's 3 years old and the little

boy is my grandson, and he is 6 months old. My husband is 18 years older

than me. I am only 31 and not old enough to be a real grandma yet.

I'm sorry that the prep h doesn't seem to be working. Did you get an

appointment to see the pcp?

on my photo file I to added a few more things. one is of my cat

sassy, one is of my dog libby. one is of my 6 year old nephew I to

suspect of Aspergers in and he is of by the sister of me, she is of

hims grandma. He is of happy to be of showing me the clear colored

fork.

the next few are of my little nephew the brother of caleb the one

showing of the fork, Cody is of like of me as a little one in areas

of day dream and language. He was unsure of what to do with the

presents, he to just observed and held of hims but not opened any

until he was of helped to open them. He later was of given a bag and

I to put all of hims gifts to the bag and he just dragged the bag

around but did not really get any of the toys out. toys do not mean

the same to him as they did not for me either. toys were of complex

and so had no clue how to play them as typical kids either I to just

horded them and carried them until more around age of 6-7 then they

began to have of some meaning to me. but not in a typical fashions.

this is of common development within this family. so it is of the

norms so for us it is of normal it is of only those outside of the

family that sees the differences as abnormal. Yet now that I to know

what I to know it saddens me that the nephew still sees this as okay

and normal and these boys are not getting supported or help to learn

language and or how to make of friends. Caleb age of 6 has no friends

at school.
