Guest guest
and All, Apparently RA can effect the small joints in the throat. I just saw a Dr. today for it and will be undergoing therapy for it. But I am home now and have pain and swelling around the throat. While the ice and heat packs help the swelling, the throat pain is not dissipating. When they looked at my vocal cords with the scope today, they had to spray a numbing agent to keep me from gagging long enough to do the test. Well the spray relaxed the throat muscles and it felt better than it has in a long time. I am wondering if there is something similar I can take that is either over the counter or prescription that will do the same? Would a muscle relaxer help? It is the whole throat and not just the top or I would just use a little chloraseptic, can you drink the stuff? And , do you have any of those wonderful articles about this you might send my way? Dennis, I hope you & the family are doing better. Joyce- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Warmest Wishes for a restful, pain-free night and a 'good' day tomorrow. Powers froghaven@... Guest guest
I would also be interested in knowing about this, too. I have had a cough since last December, have had a lot of tests, we were treating the cough and the joint pain by two different specialists. I am now going to a Rheumologist, but has not addressed the cough yet. by the way,I am a real gagger. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The cough is worse at night, I can hardly sleep, they have treated me for acid reflux and a lot of other things, I still have the cough Speaking of sleeping, I read the message about sleep aids, was curious about the hops, can you buy pills, or do you use hops, make tea? or what? We have a huge hop plant growing outside our kitchen window, so was curious. Also how much and what is safe to use with Methotrexate, Prednisone and Darvocet? Thanks for any information, I have never seen this addressed before. If you get this more than once, pardon me, but my email was burping!
