Can I ask how old your dd is? I was reading your post about her

needing a daddy not another dr & I found myself tearing up! Thanks

for expressing the daddy~ my dh is also a great daddy as I imagine

you are for sure- we have decided to make the most of all times with

Alissa.

My dh gets upset when kids don't want to play nice with Alissa.

Really she just turns and goes the other way- if they do they do if

not so what seems to be her attitude but she is almost 8. I wonder

for those with older girls are their feelings hurt if they can

express it later on? There have been many times where alissa may

have had a broken heart by others if she wasn't the way she is- but

she seems to take it all in stride.....one thing I am soooooooo

grateful for is she is really non-agressive. I do think if someone

was hurting her she would defend herself but she tends to NOT be

pushy or anything with any child- she really loves little little

ones- but sometimes doesn't realize she is big for her age- she

wears a 10/12 or 14/16 depending on the clothes and weighs 73 lbs

and is tall for her age.

I am dreading some of the girl stuff coming in the future- her

period-the teen moodiness........my mom is afraid she will change &

although now she doesn't need any medications of any kind my mom

thinks she may as she gets to be a teen.........I hope not- I like

her just the way she is.

I feel we have to help her be the BEST she can be to have the best

life she wants to have- I think she may want to be a waitress she

seems to have a facination with them. I know I will be happy no

matter what she wants to be or do in the future. I feel blessed we

were entrusted with this special angel to love & cherish.

Thanks for making me smile today & its great to see a dad so

lovinging express his feelings :)
