Guest guest
HI Kathe, I went back to find Larry's note about our healthcare but didn't find it. For our insurance, I pay $30 for all doctor visits, and 20% of hospital ones. Last year I was in the hospital 4x so that was a big chunk of change. What are your copays like in CA? Just curious of other people's input to see if we are more expensive here. take care, Debbie L
Guest guest
Hi Deb: Our insurance is also 80/20, except if we go out of network and then it is 70/30. We pay 20$ copay, and $30 for brand names and 15$ for generic; however, I am going to be switching to Medco which is where the meds are shipped to me in a 3 month supply, and I will be paying $60 for 3 months of brand names, and $30 for 3 months of generic, so it will be quite a savings. I wish I had done it sooner! I think we pay $50 for hospital co-pay, and then it goes to the 80/20. It's better than a lot of insurances, and I have not really had any problem with it. It's Blue Cross PPO through my husband's base company in Seattle, WA, and then covered through BC in CA. Guest guest
Thanks Kathe, I only pay $25 for brand name, $10 for generic and $50 for off formulary. I get at least 5 of my meds mail order, since I only pay like you do for a 3 month supply. We pay $100 for ER visit, and last year I had 4. But two were absorbed to the hospital bill. We have Cigna through my husband's company. Debbie L --- In , Kathe Sabetzadeh <lv2ryd@...> wrote: > > Hi Deb: > > Our insurance is also 80/20, except if we go out of > network and then it is 70/30.
