Guest guest
Hi to all, I've been watching the conversation and wanted to jump in. I live in Round Rock, TX, like Debbie, Hi neighbor. I joined the group a few weeks ago but I've been in the middle of Rituxan infusions and a bunch of Doctors appointments so I haven't had time to post until today. I'm an on and off again Texan, since I grew up as a military brat about 1/2 my life in the mid-Atlantic area(Penna.-to Washington, DC), and about 1/2 in the Austin-Houston area. I know we got some Aggies here, I graduated in 95. I tried UT right out of high school but found it too big and overwelmimg, A & M was a lot more accommodating to my disabilities, eye damage from RA and joint problems. I moved back to Texas last summer because my son and DIL retired from the Navy and moved from Norfolk to Austin, I coun't stand another winter with all the ice and snow, but I did forget how hot it does get here! I've never seen electric bills like this before, around $200 for a one bedroom apartment, ouch. I did notice the cost per kW is twice what I was paying on the East coast. My heat is gas, so hopefully, I can have a low bill during this next winter and play catch up with my other bills. I'm so glad I found this group and all the fellow Texans. Almost forgot, my name is , and I'm a very proud Grandmother 0f 2, one boy 3 and one girl 1 years old. I'm looking forward to have some more time after next week to participate. Nice to meet you all. Guest guest
Well howdy neighbor ! Welcome to the group! I have been a member here since May. Everyone here is nice and informative. posts great articles on the site frequently. Feel free to ask questions and share more of your RA story. I am not a native Texan but originally from Ohio. By way of the Air Force I ended up here. I am a graduate of UT master's nursing program. It wasn't too intimidating for me. We use gas heat at home and it is cheaper. A/C is bad though. warm hugs, Debbie L south Round Rock
