Guest guest
Oh , I am sorry to hear your hurt your shoulder. It is very common for simple moves to mess up our joints. It's good you will be going to an urgent care clinic. You need to be seen by someone ASAP since you may have torn a tendon. In the meantime, keep ice on it often to help with the swelling. When my rheum said I strained my piriformis muscle in my hip area, I can't figure out how I did it. So it was some simple move that I have done. We just need to be careful how we stretch our joints to reach something. warm hugs, Debbie L > > Two days ago I twisted my shoulder trying to get a roll of toilet > paper from the back of the shelf under the bathroom sink while I was > sitting on the toilet. Guest guest
Hi , Let me tell ya, we've all had instances like this, especially in the first few months after diagnosis. I remember once I was trying to get out of bed to use the bathroom. I couldnt get up, so I used the handles of the armior next to me. Instead of it pulling me up, I pulled it down....on to me. Luckly it didnt hurt me too badly, but I couldnt get it off me. I had to lie there under it until my roommate got home to find me like that. I remember thinking that I couldnt believe something so intense happens when I'm trying to do something so simple as getting up in the morning??? I mean, it's hardly like I was re-roofing the house, or running a marathon. I was just getting up to go pee. What next! The good news though, is that while there are still some instances that will occur thanks to our lovely condition, I think that things like your toilet paper injury and my cabinet attack, happen less and less as your rheumy tweeks your treatments to control your condition. When they get this more under control, which usually takes some time and variations of meds, things really do get easier. Best of luck . Take care of your shoulder!! --- monica_p4 <monica_p4@...> wrote: > Two days ago I twisted my shoulder trying to get > a roll of toilet > paper from the back of the shelf under the bathroom > sink while I was > sitting on the toilet.
