Guest guest
I had a lumpectomy in 2001, followed by 7 weeks of radiation. At first the radiation oncologist said that I couldn't take mtx during my treatments, but when my rheumy couldn't offer an alternative, the oncologist let me continue to take it. I don't know if this was a good thing or not, but I would have been in a great deal of pain without any medication. What harm does your doctor think your Enbrel and mtx will do while you're having your treatments? I really didn't have any adverse effects from the radiation except reddening of the skin being radiated toward the last.
