Guest guest
Please understand that unless you have a free TRAM flap for reconstruction their is no vascular or microvascular surgery involved in explantation, in mastopexy, or in any other reconstructive surgery for breast reconstruction. I do microvascular surgery every week in order to reattach vessels and nerves for hand surgery and most plastic surgeons are well trained in microvascular surgery as part of our plastic surgery program. Any doctor who claims that it is important to be a microvascular surgeon in order to perform these procedures is misleading the patients. Any doctor who claims to get superior results because they are a microvascular surgeon is also making false claims and is violation of the ASPRS ethics code. Guest guest
Dr Feng does happen to be certified in microvascular surgery, wheather or not this makes a difference I can't say, but I know that the fact she uses a special bevel cut and internal sutures gives a superior look to her incisions. I would love to see some of your work as I am sure would the others on this board. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Dr. Kolb " <drkolb@...> < > Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 5:06 AM Subject: Re: Fw: Regarding new implants... and seeking PS near Phoenix ... > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Dr. Kolb <drkolb@...> > < > > Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 6:59 AM > Subject: Re: Fw: Regarding new implants... and seeking PS > near Phoenix ... > > > > Please understand that unless you have a free TRAM flap for reconstruction > > their is no vascular or microvascular surgery involved in explantation, in > > mastopexy, or in any other reconstructive surgery for breast > reconstruction. > > I do microvascular surgery every week in order to reattach vessels and > > nerves for hand surgery and most plastic surgeons are well trained in > > microvascular surgery as part of our plastic surgery program. Guest guest
Hi : I too would like to see Dr. Kolb's work as well as other docs work on this site too. Thanks, -Marie
Guest guest
Microsurgery have nothing to do with beveled cuts or internal sutures or mastopexies. Microsurgery has to do with suturing structures such as vessels and nerves together which I do every other day as a large part of my practice is hand surgery. To suggest that it creates better results is misleading. Does Dr. Feng precertify procedures for patients, does she provide detoxification programs for patients, does she treat systemic Candidiasis especially when patients are placed on antibiotics which exacerbates yeast? Does Dr. Feng know the claims that is making and agree with them? . ----- Original Message ----- From: Heer <idagirl@...> < > Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 9:48 AM Subject: Re: Fw: Regarding new implants... and seeking PS near Phoenix ... > Dr Feng does happen to be certified in microvascular surgery, wheather or > not this makes a difference I can't say, but I know that the fact she uses a > special bevel cut and internal sutures gives a superior look to her > incisions. > > I would love to see some of your work as I am sure would the others on > this board. > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: " Dr. Kolb " <drkolb@...> > < > > Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 5:06 AM > Subject: Re: Fw: Regarding new implants... and seeking PS > near Phoenix ... > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Dr. Kolb <drkolb@...> > > < > > > Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 6:59 AM > > Subject: Re: Fw: Regarding new implants... and seeking PS > > near Phoenix ... > > > > > > > Please understand that unless you have a free TRAM flap for > reconstruction > > > their is no vascular or microvascular surgery involved in explantation, > in > > > mastopexy, or in any other reconstructive surgery for breast > > reconstruction. > > > I do microvascular surgery every week in order to reattach vessels and > > > nerves for hand surgery and most plastic surgeons are well trained in > > > microvascular surgery as part of our plastic surgery program. Guest guest
These are all good points Dr. Kolb is making. This microsurgery thing has confused me, now I'm glad it's cleared up. Dr. Feng needs to talk to about these claims she is making because it is misleading/confusing. -Marie
