Guest guest
Hello, After reading the recent post explaining calcium and magnesium consumption, now I have questions. Right now I don't have parathyroid function as a result of a thyroidectomy last year. Because of that I take calcium 600mg 4x day and magnesium 400mg 3x day. As a result of both, I spill large amount calcium in my urine. A recent bone scan showed I have osteopenia. I exercise regularly. Is the amount of calcium and magnesium I am taking helping or hurting my bones? My endocrinologist ordered me to take those amounts. I take both meds with food. Is it ok to take them together? I just joined this group since I have fibromyalgia. I don't have lupus or RA that I know of. thanks, Debbie L fibromyalgia since 1997
