Guest guest
Today, I called the pharmacy to make sure they had not received the script, and they hadn't. Then I called the doctor's office and listened to them telling me how it's all my fault and I'm being nasty and rude to them. And they swore up and down that I have other pain meds that were filled at the same pharmacy. I called the 'Office Manager' a liar and described a few other shortcomings she and the office have. BTW, I don't use any profanity at all, never have, never will! She finally called the pharmacy, and later called me back, telling me that the script has been at the pharmacy all weekend! That's another lie, because it wasn't mailed until Thursday, and I have 'almost' family working there and she was on the lookout for that script. It came in today. Now, for the rest of the story: The pharmacy doesn't have any MS Contin in stock! Now that we've gone through all this aggravation, there's no meds anyhow, and they won't be there until Wednesday. In the meantime, however, the doctor's office did allow me a total of 8 Vicodin. OH, BOY, I may not be able to sleep with the thought of that generosity... I don't know if there are any legal liabilities, but I feel like looking into it. Nobody else needs to go through this type of abuse. I found some rules for CA and a couple of northern states, but nothing for TX. I'm going to get those rules from somewhere so I can know how far I can push this. Their answer is for me to drive to their office and pick up the script, and yes, that's true. But, it costs $25 for me to travel that far, not counting time, and I'm on a low, fixed income, so I have to be careful with every penny. Oh well, more later... it's late.
