Guest guest
My DH and I are taking our kiddos (ages 7, 3, and 18 months) to Disney in 3 weeks. I have an appointment with my Rheumy on the Monday before we leave. I am currently not taking anything for my RA, but am having a lot of pain. I have been newly diagnosed as Sero-Negative RA by a new rheumatologist and we are still working on my treatment plan of action. I was on a trial run of prednisone, and I HATED it...lots of water retention, felt irritable all the time, couldn't sleep, etc...Also it only worked for the first week or so and then my pain came back. I am thinking of asking my doc to give me a prescription for vicodin or similar to help while on the trip. It's not like I'll be able to take it easy while at Disney and I have pain really badly in my feet, knees an hips. WWYD? What do you think? Any advice on doing a successful week in Disney and NOT having too much pain in the process? Thanks!
