Guest guest
I've just been to see GP and I can see he was absolutely no help at all. He says I should see my Rheumy on Monday, and see how my chemo goes. I just have to hope that the treatment will make me feel a lot better. The thing is, I doubt my CRP will rise when I flare - like it has done for the past 6 years! Meaning, it's going to make it harder for the Docs to know whether to bring my treatment forward or not. Does anybody here know they are flaring 1) because of their symptoms 2) have a blood test and they all come back normal and 3) bring their treatment forward off their own backs to get things back in control again? The doctor said I was red and warm around my left shoulder, but said the CRP isn't always up because a joint is inflamed. Would I need a steroid shot? I cant see how immuno-suppressive drugs would help me if my WBC is perfectly normal - any feedback would be great. Cheers, Steve
Guest guest
Hi Steve - I'll answer your questions for me: Does anybody here know they are flaring 1) because of their symptoms: YES 2) have a blood test and they all come back normal and: YES 3) bring their treatment forward off their own backs to get things back in control again? : Sort of...my doc was always good at treating symptoms - I feel better but not 100% " I cant see how immuno-suppressive drugs would help me if my WBC is perfectly normal - any feedback would be great. " I am on Kineret, my WBC (and everything else) is normal and it greatly helps the pain. Right now I am having more pain than I have had the past few months, but it's nothing like before i started on Kineret. Houston
