Guest guest
Hi Les: By all means, start on the Folic Acid! Take 1 mg. daily, and I even take it on the day I take my Mtx. The fatigue you feel is probably from the Mtx - I am always more fatigued the day after. Have they discussed your giving your own shots at home? That way, you could give a shot right before bed, and sleep through any nausea. I take my Mtx friday night after dinner for that reason. I have never had nausea, but sometimes get a headache the day after. So, you increase with each shot? I have been on protocol where the Mtx dose was not increased until a couple of months at least to see if the lower dose would work, rather than continuing to increase. Mtx takes a while in the system to work - at least a month - and if you are getting shots every week, each time with more doseage, how do you know which one is working? That's just my 2 cents worth - your doctor has his own way of doing things, and if this has worked before, then this is how he treats. Anyway, I hope that the Mtx does begin to help you soon - take care - Kathe in CA --- <leslielick777@...> wrote: > Hi all, > > I had my first Methotrexate shot today.
