Guest guest
, Yes, you probably are the only one. I am sure I have read a lot of your work. Love your attitude. I try to have the same outlook but the pain keeps getting in the way! LOL! I know I am asking you to speculate but why do you think the stingray attacked Steve Irwin -crocodile hunter? I always thought of them as gentle creatures. Maybe she was protecting her babies? Guest guest
For one thing, Ebony, a person doesn't like strangers getting too close. It's the same with animals, they don't like their 'personal space' invaded. People have a feely-touchy desire no matter what the consequence. He shouldn't have been so close. That's my opinion even though it wasn't asked for Dennis in Eastexas " It's not Rocket Surgery " [ ] Re: OCcupation; Bet I'm the only one! > , > > Yes, you probably are the only one. Guest guest
I think you're right about the " bet mine will be the stangest answer " or the strangest also. It's one I'm envious of, I think. I'd love to do something like that for a living, it would be fascinating. When Betty and I are on the trike just driving, we are aware of all the smells and sights. We often stop and take closer looks at many things. Once, I brought a 2 " tall Spruce tree from northern Canada to see how long it might last here. Even controlling the heat and light, it didn't last a week. Somehow it just knew. Guest guest
Like , I have a rare on as well. I am what's called an " orientation and mobility specialist " . Also know as a " blind rehabilitation specialist " . Basically, I teach blind and visually impaired people how to get around independantly (and safely!) Mostly this involves how to use a cane, how to cross streets, routes to places they need to go. Stuff like that. I do a little bit with the dogs, but that mostly involves just helping the dog get acclimated to the area it will be traveling when the person brings it home from the guide dog school. My job changes from person to person and age group to age groups. I work with everyone from the elderly to babies......and LOVE IT. My RA has given my problems at times, but normally I've been able to work with it. My wrists make supporting babies difficult. And with older kids and adults, we do ALOT of walking, so my feet, ankles and hips sometimes pay. Hoepfully it will never get to the point where it completely prevents me from doing this job. Like I said, I absolutly love it. ps....., that is SO cool! --- Powers <froghaven@...> wrote: > Hi Parrish, > I'll just bet mine will be the stangest answer... > > While Dennis was out dodging snakes in the rice > fields, I actually looked > for snakes!
