Guest guest
I have had ccp test, its always in normal limits. In fact many of my blood tests are, but doc said that could be because I'm under treatment. Anyway, I suppose I never introduced myself. My name is Liz, I am 31 years ols, dx with mild RA. I started with a dx of hypothyroid and was eventually dx with mild RA. I currently take Plaquenil (no methotrexate cause I wanty to have kids and rheumy said he won't give to women who want kids, can cause problems) and voltaren. Doing fairly well, have my moments. My mom has lupus so we are familiar with autoimmune diseases in our family! About detox, please please be careful with these...they are not always recommended in every form, especially if you have certain medical conditions such as diabetes, and I say this as a big advocate of alternative therapies. Many people feel the arguments for them are based on faulty information, and that the body detoxes naturally. others swear by them, but do you research and if you do one start small and take it slow. You can do a modified one simply by avoiding any processed foods, drinking a lot of water and eating every two hours. Also, read the background of Edgar Cayce thouroghly before you trust any of his writings, make up your own mind but do your research, I have found a lot of releief with PT mixed with massage, but again, be sure to go to a massage therapist who is familiar with RA, fibromyalgia, etc, because a massage can also cause a lot of pain to already painful joints and muscles. I also swear by trigger point therapy. Sorry for babbling!
