I've been told that I need to see an orthopedist because all the ligaments in my ankle may be torn. Many thanks, Paige
Guest guest
Sorry for your fall, Paige. I hope you will soon recover from your injuries. I sometimes think that we all have a certain quota of falls that we have to have. I fell down last week, doing the simple task of carrying a comforter from the dryer to the bedroom. When I reached the den, I guess the comforter was dragging the floor, and I stumbled on it. I landed on my elbows and knees, but fortunately sustained no injuries. I was just sore for a few days, especially my arms. I always feel stupid when I fall, because it's such a shock, and I always think, " If only I had been a little more careful. Guest guest
Paige, my prayers for your quick recovery. I'm not sure RA makes injuries worse, but I truly believe we are much more prone to falls and injuries. When I was living in a 3 level townhouse, I fell about once a week and it was always a surprise. Now that I'm in a rambler, I don't fall to often, but I do fall. At the State Fair I fell going on the sidewalk from a grassy area. I always feel stupid, but then very relieved nothing is broken. Good luck and very gentle hugs to you and ! Guest guest
it did for me. last spring i was working on the new house - painting, climbing step ladder, moving furn i had no business moving - and had a stress fracture on my hip. it took longer to heal than a normal person. i don't know if you attend church, but if you need help, try local churchs. or the united way, salvation army, goodwill, etc. sometimes there are older people who are looking to help people! Sincerely, kelley s. May you have grace and peace in your life and the lives of those you love. cajunsahms/ sulphurmoms/ ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Bored stiff?
