Thank you for the informative article about Plaquenil. My Opthmalogist is

very particular about the diligence of thorough eye exams and visual field

test (I hate them), but was amazed when I failed .........You could see a big

pie shaped place where there were no " hits " at all and I was sure my vision

was fine ,,,,,just a little aging problem. Visual Field test is where they

flash lights and you are to punch a button when you see it. Both of my eyes

had a big blank pie shaped where I missed/didn't see any lights. That is when

my cataracts were deemed to need removal. The Dr. feels this is mostly due

to prednisone....but I am also slightly red/green color blind due to the

Plaquenil. It is real strange when they show you a bunch of color dots and you

KNOW there is a letter in there and you just don't see it.

I'm glad your ophthalmologist is monitoring you carefully though.
