That Capsacin cream burns like fire doesn't it Debbie? I'll wash

my hands good after using it but it won't all come off. You have

to be careful with that stuff. I use gloves every time now.

HI Dennis,

I use capsacin creams sometimes. But they burn when it's too hot

outside here. So I don't want to buy the capsacin patch yet. Too

strong for me.

Cayenne pepper is used in the salve. That's what makes it hot, and when the

sun hits it, it will amplify the heat to unbearable and may even blister you

if not careful. You can also blister if you rub it in too much. Be very

careful with it and make sure the applied area is protected from the sun or

other heat.

I tried one of the capsacin patches while we were on vacation, my back hurt

so bad we went to the local drugstore and bought one. At first it helped,

but we were out in the sun for a long time, and yes, the heat was almost

unbearable. When I finally got a chance to take it off, my back was

literally burned. It took a long tme to heal, you could see the red marks

for a couple of weeks. No more capascin of any kind for me!
