Guest guest Posted January 26, 2007 Report Share Posted January 26, 2007 Arthritis Imaging set to launch 1/25/2007 A Pennsylvania start-up is planning to begin operations marketing a new device that combines 3D and thermal imaging for the imaging of conditions that lead to arthritis. Called Arthritis Imaging, the company will be marketing the device to physician offices for diagnosing and planning treatment for inflammation caused by rheumatoid arthritis, according to the firm. The technology was developed and clinically tested at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital. Carnegie Mellon University's Medical Robotics Institute and the University of Pittsburgh contributed technological expertise to the project, Arthritis Imaging said. The CEO of the company will be Fred Marroni.
