1/25/2007

A Pennsylvania start-up is planning to begin operations marketing a new

device that combines 3D and thermal imaging for the imaging of conditions

that lead to arthritis.

Called Arthritis Imaging, the company will be marketing the device to

caused by rheumatoid arthritis, according to the firm.

The technology was developed and clinically tested at the University of

Pittsburgh Medical Center Children's Hospital. Carnegie Mellon University's

Medical Robotics Institute and the University of Pittsburgh contributed
