Guest guest Posted January 8, 2007 Report Share Posted January 8, 2007 Hi all, hope you had a good holiday -- I was GLAD to have all this snow because it made me stay home and rest! My hands have begun hurting again, and I wondered what constitutes mild versus moderate pain in the RA world. I've been taking 500 mg of Relafen 3x a day for the last few days. It helps a little but not much. I have been taking 25 mg amitriptyline every night (for the last 2 months) but I still wake up with pain in the middle of the night. I have a high pain threshold and do not like to take ANY medication. (btw, all tests came back negative for RA so I am taking the " wait and see " approach). That said, if I'm damaging my joints, and this pain is already at a level that suggests a rheum. visit, I will get on it. Any thoughts?
