Guest guest
Well, isn't that a witch.....I completely understand your frustration!! High dose of narcs, Everyone would roll over in their grave if I said how much the doctors have me on of the morphine. Literally enough to take a hose down. Tolerance is an amazing thing. Most of my tolerance was masked by about 5 years of wearing a 100mcg patch of duragesic. Once the docs decided to take away the patch and put me on orals----well, now we know what my body is requiring. Of course things are a bit more on increasing the dose now as they just figured out that my back is fx at T8. Apparently a fx here is extremely painful--(this I know)--- it causes a band like feeling---squeezing around the chest (like I have). So now the doctors are suddenly liberal with the dose and frequency. When will the doctors really listen to you and know that " we " stills people do not complain of something unless something is wrong!!! In fact, most people right! Well, gonna be in the Tucson, VA for at least 2 weeks looks like. Trying to get them to do another plasty on this fx like they did on L 4. I had that fx for 2 years almost before they decided it was not going to heal and did the vertebral plasty. 2 weeks after that barbaric procedure was done----amazing!!! NO PAIN from the L 4 area any more. What a wonderful thing to finally not need a narcotic for that place. I am really bummed that I broke my back picking up Avery as that means that I can no longer pick her up.. Sad really as she puts her little hands up to me and says " up Nana " , I cannot respond to that. I guess, I'll just have to take her by the hand, walk her to a chair, sit down and then help her crawl up to my lap. Just not quite the same! Those that are Nana's will know what I'm saying here. Thank you everyone for all the prayers you have sent my way. I don't think I would have made it last month without those prayers...Bless all of you who helped in their own ways also. Thank you!!!! Well, I've vented enough and it has been so long that I could probably write a thesis on frustration and this disease. LOL. love Kathleen
