Guest guest
Hey Gail, Glad to hear the tapering is going well - KUDOS! The auto-immune diseases in my family are sort of a skipped generation thing. All the women on my mother's side have thyroid disease, from my youngest female cousin up to my great-grandmother. But on my father's side, my grandmother had issues and now I do, skipping my father and uncle. However, they are both male and we know that auto- immune diseases tend to cluster in women statistically, so not sure that can be used either. Back to my mother's side, my great grandmother had RA most likely, but none of the other women until me have had anything but thyroid disease - at least of an auto-immune nature. Cancer is the big killer in my mother's side. Everyone but my mother has had/died of cancer. So I'm not sure I'm a good example of anything, lol.
