Recently diagnosed with RA

Hi, I was really glad to find this group. I was just recently

diagnosed with RA, and it's a little scary as I don't know anyone who

has this. Currently I'm taking Plaquenil and Feldene. The Plaquenil

I've been taking for about 10 weeks, the Feldene for about 3 weeks. So

far I've had no relief from my symptoms (lots of pain and stiffness

especially in my shoulders and hands). I've told my rheumatologist

that the meds aren't helping, so she upped the Feldene dosage to 20mg

daily. Hopefully that will help but I'm not so sure. She says that if

these meds don't work then the next she will prescribe is methotrexate.

I'm just curious as to whether or not my beginning RA treatment is

similar to others. You know, Plaquenil and Feldene first, then

Methotrexate, etc. Thanks for your help.
