Guest guest
>>>How long had you had your diagnosis of RA when you started taking anitbiotics? What were your symptoms? And are you seropositive or seronegative RA? I figure the more information I have to share with my rheumatologist next week, the better.<<< Hi Meg...just wrote you off-site to your previous mail. I had my RA diagnosis about 6 weeks after being infected by Lyme's. I was sero-positive for RA Factor (156)at that time, but RA Factor can also be elevated by other things, including Lyme's. It's well documented. I was sero-negative for Lyme's, but this is not uncommon in the early stages...nor in the later stages. The tests for Lyme's are notoriously inaccurate. Sending your bloodwork to Igenex Labs in California, which should give you a better result - they specialise in Lyme's testing. My Western Blot was positive on several bands specific for Lyme's through them...although a good Lyme's doc will be able to give you a diagnosis based on clinical symptoms alone.
