Hi All, I was banded on the 26th Nov 2007. To date I have had one fill. I am not sure how much as the Dr fills according to pressure rather than a specific amount. I am a bit concerned at how much I can eat at a sitting and am still quite hungry soon after a meal. The weight loss is going Ok at 14.8kg to date but I am having to make a conscious effort not to snack. Has anyone else experienced this? Guest guest
congrats on your fabulous weight loss - that is half of what I have lost in 2 years!!!! It will take a few fills to get to a level where you are fully restricted and hopefully stopping the urge to eat continuously. When my restriction was low, I could still put away a decent amount of food and the head and stomach hunger just hung around forever. Remember it will take awhile to get rid of the weight - the slower the better. Don't panic and just try and concentrate and eat from hunger rather than habit. Your turn will come to be doing the small portion thing - enjoy the ride in the meantime. cheers Cherie --- InSydBand , " shansmeboy " wrote: > > Hi All, > I was banded on the 26th Nov 2007. Guest guest
Hello Yes It takes a while before your brain kicks in, you may think you feel hungry for sometime yet. Just eat small snacks of healthy food when you think you feel hungry until you get use to eating smaller amounts of food. (Old habbits die hard) If the weight loss is going along OK its generally a good indication that the amount of food your able to eat at this time is OK. As you loose weight and you have more fills in your band the amount of food you eat will get less.. If your over eating your band should be letting you know by a tightness feeling in your chest or if your eating things too fast. This is just a guide as some people have different experience along the way. Your progress so far it excellent ! ! ! .. I felt i had to respond to your email as your banding date was on my birthday... LOL good luck with your weight loss adventure, for me it was the best decision i made in my life.
