Pat, the pain chart lists pain from 1 to 10, no pain to too much

pain. My

normal day starts at about 6-7 and goes up depending on what I do

that day,

and I'm on Morphine for pain. Sometimes it doesn't seem to help. You

might

share your 'mix' of herbal meds, it may help one of us. You are truly

blessed if it's helping you.

Greetings Dennis in ETx and group

As for my Herbal mix, I probably take more vitamins than you all take

meds, only my cost is all out of pocket where as, if I could get

prescriptions that worked without the fear of / or the real major

side effects, my insurance would pay most of it.But over the years I

have just not found any consistant 'cure all' and relief for the pain

that I am chronically and consistantly in, although the pain is in

the mid range , the pain is constant, and we all know when the 'flare

ups' come in and lately it seems all the time , I have found more so

in spring and autumn, Pain just wears you out , as we all can vouch

for and I have found that vitamins/herbal approach to my 'sufferings'

seem to work in a balanced and wholeness way and aids my body in

healing itself.I have come to believe that all healing is from the

inside out, and that our Maker created us with a body that has the

ability to heal itself and that nutrition, vitamins, herbs etc. aid my

body to do just that in a gentle manner, and does not cover up or

just treat a symptom and

try to just maintain a problem that prescripts seem to be

doing.Although it is not as fast in 'relief' as I would like, I find

that what I am trying to accomplish in my 'natural' approach is that

it enables me, and encourages me to take to controls out of 'others'

hand and puts it in mine, and that now I am not at the mercy of some

one else, but that I am in the driver seat .I may not be successful

all the time, but from reading alot of your post, my results are up

there with the best of the successes here, and that helps and

encourages me to continue the fight.

I will try a vitamin or herbal mix just once and will not make any

conclusion as to whether it works or not until I finish the bottle,

then if I don't feel any improvement I find something else, although

there are some things that take longer to work and I will stay with

the product for that time period then make my assessments for it.

so here is my 'wholeness/health ' regimen: keep in mind this is in

the understanding of what I can tolerate, what I am not allergic to

and so forth and so each must study and understand their own personal

needs, and that this is what I have found that is right for me

now.and in no way suggest that this might be right for you and what

ails you.

I Take for Fibro and Arthritis, this does not include my 'womens

health needs/ hot/flash/night and day sweats formula.

1a day-NOW brand EcoGreen Multi vit/mineral

1soft gel. 3xdayFlax,Fish, Borage oil

2.capsules, 2xday -SolarRay,brand calcium as

(carbonate,hydroxide,citrate,amino acid chelate)1000mg. Magnesium as

Oxide and citrate at 500mg. and Zinc as amino acid chelate at

25mg....... for bones/teeth, nerve impulse transmission, and muscle

contraction, function and support.

I have tried many calcium but just started this brand, the trick with

calcium is that Magnesium must be with it, and Vit D which I am

getting in my multi. This has made the most dramatic improvement in

my muscle pain and leg cramps and spasm.Since taking this brand I am

pleased at the quick results in my muscles and constant night leg

cramp and back muscle spasms I have been enduring for years, I no

longer have them to such as extent " knock on wood " I hope this

continues , what a relief not to suffer constantly from this.

1 capsule Standardized Extract St.'s wort 0.3% 3x days, I take

one in morn. 2 at bedtime for my healthy version of prozac, this

takes a few weeks to see any improvement and when I notice I am not

dwelling depressionly on things for any length of time any more ,

Then I know this is working for me.Plus no side effects, groggy day

time neg. symptoms of prescripts I have tried.

1 cap. Vit E-400iu natural d-alpha. for heart health,

immunity,antioxdant protection

1 vit. B complex 50mg a day for stress and energy and metabolism

1 Evening Primrose oil 1000mg 3xday for womens issues.

1cap of vit C 1000mg 2xday time release. for immune system , pain

1 equate brand odorless garlic500mg daily , I use this as my

antibiotic and when fighting infection increase it to 4xday.

100mg " 5-HTP " cap. I take 2 at bedtime this is L-5

Hydroxytryplophan, this works like a anti depressant. sleep aid, and

diet aid and is aiding me in getting some sleep when my hot flashes

don't wake me up.

1 or 2 25mg benadryl to help sleep when needed

1 acidophilus a day

Guaifenesin 400mg 2xday this is a new trial for me, from what i read

it seems to help some Fibro, sufferers and puts many in remission and

so I am on my first few days on this and will let you know the

results

the new 'pain relief' mix I found that 'seems' to be working for me

is this:

company name is Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, it is called Pain-Rx , a

quick acting cox 2 inhibitor I did take 2, 3xday, but at my health

food store, this was a new product and I got the only one, they have

it on order so I had to buy another trial product which is call Joint-

Rx for cartilage and joint support, so I am taking one of these and

one of the Pain-x and so far I am very very pleased with this, it may

not work next week, it may, but I am having wonderful results with it

for now and it is working better than anything I have ever tried for

pain, prescription or OTC.

So for what it is worth , the only thing I can account for the relief

I am having is the calcium and the pain/joint Rx and with my new

symptoms of both knees swelling along with the rest of my pains, it

has lowered the perceive pain down dramatically. From a constant 4-8

down to a pain level of 1-3. I hope this

will encourage all that, there is always many ways to approach a

problem or situation and if one way don't work , try another way.

in persuit of wholeness

blessed be
