Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I have the same problem. I am going to the Dr today to hopefully get a diagnosis. Had an MRI on my pelvic area Friday. That area causes so much grief that I walk with a limp. I'll let you know what I find out maybe it'll help you out as well. Hoping you feel better soon, Kim deebs87 <dlohf@...> wrote: HI all, The area near my right sit bone near my crack really hurts today. It's very uncomfortable to sit on it or walk. Waiting for my rheum to call. This same area hurt several years ago when I strained my gluteus minimus muscle. Therapist said it's part of my hip joint. It first acted up Sat and now worse today. Sitting on ice or a heating pad helps. Does anyone have similar type pain or trouble? Debbie L --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
HI Kim, Thanks for answering. It's nice to know I am not alone with this problem. It's very hard to describe the exact location. When I lay on my stomach I can feel it just below my right butt cheek. I am walking with a limp, too. Good luck with your appt. Tomorrow I see my rheum, too. Thanks for the wishes. Hope you feel better soon, too. Debbie L > > Hi Debbie, > I have the same problem. I am going to the Dr today to hopefully get a diagnosis. Had an MRI on my pelvic area Friday. Guest guest
years ago, I just scotted up in the bathtub, and injored my tail bone. had to sit on one of those seats that has no center, for about a year. mary w. > > HI all, > > The area near my right sit bone near my crack really hurts today. Guest guest
Thanks . Happy to know you may be a fellow virgo. They sell seats like that at Bed, Bath & Beyond near here. I wanted to get them anyway for special events with hard seats. I think it actually is my leg adductor muscle that controls side leg movement. I see my rheum in the morning. Heck of thing for my birthday. Debbie L > > > > HI all, > > > > The area near my right sit bone near my crack really hurts today. > It's > > very uncomfortable to sit on it or walk. Guest guest
-Debbie, Hi...it took a little bit of time ..but I finally put 2 and 2 together....(I have fibro so I can blame it one that!!)...have you ever had a bone scan done? The reason I ask is that one of my Dx. is SEVERE osteoprosis...so severe that my DR/PCP said " holy sh*t...I have never seen anyone this bad!! " ...I do love my DR....he is so expressive and leaves nothing out!!! NO holds barred with him..I can trust him to give me the truth....anyway this is my point. I am on MSContin (a time release morphine and also and also an instant release morphine...and the reason why is the intense, raw, gnawing bone pain that I have in my pelvic bone structure!! It sounds very similar to what you are describing....the bone scan is painless...and if it would help them diagnose something that they would then give you pain meds for it would be worth it to you to give it a try a see what turns up!. I know that before I started the MSC I was taking 2 percocet every 4 hours..and I am 5' nothing...and 2 percocet should have knocked me on my butt....but it didn't even touch the pain...I spent a 3 day weekend sitting at home with tears running down my face....hobbling to the BR when I had to....all because I had the really bad osteoporosis and no one realized it yet!! Maybe it is not what you have, I hope it is not what you have!! But just in case, and to cover all the bases I wish that you would have a bone scan done if you haven't already had one!! At the least it would knock one more diagnosis off the list of possibilities for you and maybe narrow down the possibilities of what you do have. At the most..maybe you could get some medication that would make the pain bearable...not make it all go away...but make it bearable. And I also use a mattress on my bed that vibrates and gives off heat...that I have found that I cannot live without...it take the edge off the pain too..and loosens up the muscle spasms to a point to where the muscle relaxants have a better effect...several people here on the list have found some pain relief using these mattreses. SInce my diagnosis of Osteoporosis I am also on a medication which is supposed to buid back the bone material...it takes a lot of time to see if there will be any result from this...but I take the pills faithfully every week in the hopes tht one day I will have enough bone mas back that the pain will stop and I can go back to a more normal life. Life wil never be perfectly normal for me a I also have RA/OA/Fibro/DDD/Redicular pain as well a the osteoporosis...but if they could just get the bone matter to the point where I didn't have to take the large dosesof pain meds every day I would be great full!!! I hope that you check with you DR.s and see about a bone scan if you have not had one....it is a good place to start looking for the type of bone pain that you are describing!!! Good luck! and feel free to email me at home anytime with any questions you might have. I would be happy to help in any way that I can!!...I hope that you have a nice weekend!!..jenna -- In , randy ladere <rladere@...> wrote: > > Hi Debbie, > The Dr didn't really find much with my MRI.
