Guest guest
>Hi Again UmmAleah I feel exactly the same, scared and excited.I am counting down the days! If you BMI is on the higher side they will make you have the Optifast for 2 weeks prior to the banding. Luckily i don't need to have it (my BMI is 33 but my Blood pressure is too high for a 34yo and it is weight related) So i figure that after the initial consultation with the doc, the dietitian and psychologist you may be looking at 2-4 weeks post first appointment! But that is just a guess. I definately need mine before i go on a cruise mid march with the all you can eat buffet brekky, lunch and dinner!! So i guess we will both look stunning for our holidays! Guest guest
Hi Juzzy, thanks for the reply - I attended the info evening and was really pleased with the whole team effort there. I am going to make an appointment on 14th Jan when they open and hope to be banded ASAP after that. I am going on holiday late May to Turkey for 3 months so I need to organise it all before I go. I will organise to get the referral after I make appointment. thanks for the advice and all the best for your banding op. I am very excited and looking forward to my new life. Kind regards UmmAleah Re: Bum- Question for Danna> > UmmAleah >> HI thereI am new to this group, but have been reading the posts for a fewweeks now.SIOS are really good, its a team of doctors, a nurse, dietician andpsycholgist.
