WOW! You have just related my husband's fight with what we believe to be

Lyme Disease. We are headed to the Mayo Clinic at the end of this month

because no doctor here in Orlando will diagnose him. We have been fighting

this since January of 2006 and they didn't put him on the antibiotics

(doxycycline) until November. He took them for eight weeks and seemed to be

feeling better. He is also on Mobic for inflammation and Synthroid because

whatever this is has caused him to have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis as well.

We have begged for a Western Blot test or something other than the basic

testing for Lyme and have gotten nowhere. I truly believe that the doctor's

at the Mayo will figure this out and will let you know what we find out.

My husband is still in a lot of pain, but not nearly as bad as he was. The

pain migrates, as you stated and goes from joint to joint, including his

jaw. You are the first person I've seen mention the jaw. He had the

bullseye rash in August of 2005 and the joint pain didn't start until

January 2006. We didn't think anything of the rash, because we are in

Florida and the cases here are very rare. But. who's to say that out of 100

cases a year he isn't one of them??? He is a landscaper and constantly in

the bushes and weeds.

Poor thing hasn't worked since September because the pain is so bad.

Anyway. I will keep you informed. Please let me know how your treatment

progresses.

Orlando, FL
