Guest guest
Well all I finally saw the Rheumy today. Please keep in mind I have been a flare since Friday Jan 19th. I called several times asking for pain relief and some help and kept getting pushed off. Finally middle of last week she called in vicodin. It made me nuts; I was so angry and very grumpy. So today when I saw her she said " Wow you are in a major flare!!! " I just looked at her dumbfounded. So I informed her that we are infact getting more aggressive with my treatment or I am going to go somewhere else with a doctor that is willing be aggressive with my treatment. She started me on MTX orally for the first month; and then probably injections. She changed my prednisone to Medrol since it seems that I am not able to absorb prednisone. She added folic acid and changed my vicodin to darvocet. She also kept me on plaquenil. So I guess we will see what is going on in a few weeks. But I hope that this pushes things along for me and I start to get some relief. Thank you all for kind thoughts and messages of hope to get me through this. Hugs to all,
