Guest guest
I had said yesterday sometimes I wonder about my dx of RA (altho my blood levels certainly bears out the dx) Some times I will wake up with one wrist or one ankle or one hip all swollen and painful, but by bedtime sometimes it is somewhere else entirely that is swollen, hot, red and painful. Sometimes it is just one ifnger, sometimes it is a left ankle, right knee rght elbow. It changes a LOT. Even when it is the same body part, it can be different parts of the same body part. One time it might be my wrist towards my thumb, sometimes towards my pinky. Often it is the knuckles between my fingers, sometimes all of them, sometimes just a couple of them, sometimes the ones by my hand, sometimes the ones up on my fingers. My old rheumy and now my new rheumy seem to think this is odd. On one visit one place will be terribly swollen and then next time they act kinda weird when I am complaining about the other side o f my body. They make me feel like I forgot what I had originally said was hurting me. I keep telling them it can change, and it does change. It changes a LOT. Guest guest
Odd?? Where did they earn their degree?? My joints trade places on either a daily or weekly schedule. I go to bed with one hurting and new one hurting when I wake up. Trust me, it's not odd. I've been doing it for 24 years. ~Rainy - who peeps in once in a while. dreamer_plus <dreamer_plus@...> wrote: My old rheumy and now my new rheumy seem to think this is odd. Guest guest
I am having similar symptoms. Mine tend to move from the base of my thumb, to my index finger to my wrist. I sometimes have it in one shoulder and not the other, then to have it in both. I also have terrible pain in my neck. I have heard that part of the symptomology of the disease is that it is transient through out the body. ((hugs)) I am trying to remember that I am NOT crazy! Guest guest
Yeah, it gets weird when I am somewhere one day with a limp on one side and the other side the next day, or a splint on one hand one day and the other hand the next day, ppl look at me really weird and say, I thought it was your other hand yesterday- and I smile sweet and say " it was, ...ah the joys of RA " but they give me a look that kinda makes me feel like they think I am making it all up or something. Then I get to wondering, gosh, am I crazy, is it all in myhead? - In , " NICOLE Cook " <cook.nicole@...> wrote: > > I am having similar symptoms.
