I never had an injection for mine.my old rheumy never offered. Mine comes and

goes.

Hi AnneMarie,

Within 24 hours of getting my hand injected, and being put on oral

prednisone, my hand relaxed, and it hasn't happened again to

anything like the same extent.

I don't know for sure, but my rheumatologist lead me to believe that

this was just a part of the RA, and that when we find the drugs that

work well to control the RA over all, the tendon problem is likely

to be controlled right along with the rest of it. I sure hope so,

because it was EXTREMELY painful, as well as making my hand

completely unusable.
