Guest guest
Dreamer, and Tess first off, thanks for your answers to my question. When I went looking for info. about the Dupuytren's contractures the first site I saw had some nasty operation photos, and I was hoping it wouldn't come to that! lol I went to my rheumy today and he looked at both palms and asked me whether I wanted an injection in both, or if I wanted to choose the worst hand! I had to drive home, so chose only one hand. He said it was, at present, synovitis in the finger knuckles, but also likely to be the start of Dupuytren's. He pressed the centre of my palm and said that it was a bit firm and so likely to be Dupuytren's. Is there any way to prevent it coming on? Or is it inevitable? thanks AnneMarie Irish in Japan
