Same here! Although Dad will insist " oh, he doesn't cause any trouble when I take him! " , so I said, " well, then you can take him alone or we go together from here on in! Guest guest
Mine has me come every three months. I like it that close together so if there is a problem we can take care of it and I do not have to call him too much. Just my preference Marsha [ ] Doc visits How often do you all go to the rheumatologist? Mine had me coming every two months but I think that is a bit much. Guest guest
My rheumatologist has me come in every 4 months which works good. Two other doctors are the same way. Now with this Neurontin problem may have to go back sooner this time. Guest guest
Is it okay to get a pneumonia shot on Humira? Thanks, Pris
Guest guest
Hello! I'm being treated by two rheumatologists - my local one has be come back every 6 weeks and the out-of-area one has be come once every three months. They are working together on my treatment and this is the schedule they came up with. Lori
Guest guest
For the first two years, I went in monthly to see him, get my meds adjusted, and get blood work done. Since last fall, I only go in every two months. Guest guest
At this point, I see mine every 5-6 weeks. > > How often do you all go to the rheumatologist? > Mine had me coming every two months but I think that > is a bit much. > Joy > > >
Guest guest
I see my Rheumy every 6 to 8 weeks. In fact, I see him tomorrow, with a laundry list of problems. I'm trying to get it down to two pages, but I have a lot of new nodules, and have started getting twitches in my arms and hands, which means that there is swelling somewhere along some nerves. Guest guest
Mine has me coming every four months. I think the frequency of the visits depends on how well you're doing. And different rheumatologists have different requirements. I went every six months to my former rheumy, after my RA was under control. Guest guest
I feel like a lot of times when I go in there I tell her about a problem and she brushes it off on another doc. She told me to ask my breathing doc about going back on enbrel or humira before she would write me another prescription. Not sure at this point if I even want to be on it if it is going to cause me breathing problems. I don't want the arthritis to keep getting worse but I don't want the meds that I take to cause me other problems either. It is so darn frustrating. joy cynthiadew1 <cynthiadew1@...> wrote: I see my Rheumy every 6 to 8 weeks. In fact, I see him tomorrow, with a laundry list of problems. Guest guest
Yes, it is. I just read that in my " Arthritis Today " magazine. This issue is about arthritis drugs. It said it was okay to get a flu shot, just not the kind you inhale, as it has live virus in it. Guest guest
I'm going in every 6 months. With the Rummy I fired, I had to go in every 2 months and get meds taken away because he didn't like the bloodwork. Now that I'm back with my original, bloodwork is good, I'm doing very well and am not suffering hardly any. I like it the way it is. Guest guest
I was told that it was very, VERY important to get both a flu shot and a pneumonia shot specifically _because_ I was taking Humira. > > Is it okay to get a pneumonia shot on Humira? > Thanks, > Pris > > > > > >
Guest guest
I was also told to get a shot for Shingles, is this normal? Guest guest
The shot given for shingles is the varicella vaccine. It is now given routinely to children to prevent chickenpoxs. It is a weakened live virus. So if you have never had chickenpoxs they recommend you getting it. However if you are on immune suppressant meds its contraindicated. Oh and keep in mind not every builds immunity to chickenpox and do end up getting it a second time. I know I had chickenpox twice!! The second was a doosy!
