Hi everyone

hope you're not getting the rain that we are - it's a dark, miserable day.

My dh is a high school teacher (maths) and they have sports day practice

today - outdoors, and the actual event tomorrow. Hope they took a break

during the worst of it.

In the meantime, I spent almost 3 hours in the hospital this morning,

waiting, then seeing the doctor, then getting injections and medicine.

When people say that they regularly wait 4 or 5 hours, I am so glad that I

don't go to a general hospital, but I still reserve the right to complain

about 3 hours. ^-^

Got the results of the blood test taken in July.

, do you remember me saying that my CRP seemed to be creeping up? Well,

it's done it again.

My CRP has mostly been within the range on the lab. tests. However, over the

last year, it has slowly, literally bit by bit been creeping up, and this

time it has just gone outside the range. It is still low, and " nothing to

worry about at this stage " acc. to the doctor, but the fact that it is

rising as opposed to staying put is a teensy bit worrying.

I also have, again, synovitis in my right hand. My palm has been sore for a

couple of weeks now, and the crease that goes from left to right (life

line?) has been swollen on the little finger side, and all the knuckles have

been painful.

The rheumy said that the index finger's tendon has got " caught " again, and

the only thing for it is another injection into the palm-side of the

knuckle. Ooooooiiiiiiiiiii!

Hence, the one-handed typing now..........

He said that if I don't get this sorted out that the finger is going to

stiffen up and short of surgery, basically, corticosteroid injections and

rehab. are the only choices.

I find, however, that this injection takes about 2 weeks for it to be

effective. I have also seen that written somewhere.

My left wrist is, as always, swollen too, at the side, and in the centre of

the back. For this, I got an intravenous injection.

I think said that she has never been given an IV injection.

Sachiko, has your doctor given you any?

Is my guy needle-happy?

Hand is getting tired, so I'll leave it here.
