Guest guest
Oh , you deserve mother of the year! Amazing and Congrats!!! in WA To: Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 5:01 PM Subject: Update  Well.........after 2 weeks of fighting this thing 24/7, I can finally exhale!! Thankfully the denial of coverage for my son was overturned! I am beyond thrilled, but unfortunately we are not out of the woods by any means. Once a denial takes place, despite the fact that this one was completely unfounded and bogus, Blue Cross will most likely keep trying to deny moving forward. However, they now have in their possession all of my sons medical records as well as video clips, photos, etc. that I submitted along with a gazillion emails that point out their negligence and carelessness in this case. Of course they will never admit to that, but prior to this whole situation they had no records or documentation to refer to. Pretty hard to believe, but true. The moral to this story......never, ever take a denial of coverage for face value. Read every word of the letter 10 times over to make sure you clearly understand what they are stating for the denial reasons and criteria. The majority of the time insurance companies take a roll of the dice and figure most people won't pay attention to the verbage or pursue anything, and unfortunately they are right. Okay, now to prepare for the next battle.......school funding from our district!
Guest guest
Thanks so much, Lee! I know you had to go through this as well, it is not a fun ride that is for sure! I'm so hoping you are right about it being more difficult moving forward for BC to deny future claims, but I do think they will still try to push for denials. They are experts at sidestepping and running people around in circles, so I'm fully anticipating some future battles ahead. Therefore, I am still compiling documentation and working as if I will have to appeal moving forward so I'll be ready when the time comes. > > , > I am so happy to read this!!! Congratulations....your effort and work on this clearly made a difference and I'm sure will make it waayy more difficult for BC to deny future claims from your son. The documentation totally backs you up. Whew...you must feel like you just climbed Everest! > Lee >

Guest guest
FANTASTIC!! How terrific to hear that you were able to get what your son needs, even though it shouldn't have been so hard. He is blessed to have you as a mom and advocate! Update Well.........after 2 weeks of fighting this thing 24/7, I can finally exhale!! Thankfully the denial of coverage for my son was overturned! Guest guest
Hi Guys, Just thought I'd fill you in on what's going on with me these days . . . . To quote my Dad, "I'm sinking fast" (he's been sinking for the last thirty years) I've lost my sense of balance - I want to get a sign to wear around my neck that says "I am NOT drunk!" 'cause I don;t walk straight anymore I'm so slow these days - it''ll take me 5 minutes to walk two or three blocks. My memory is shot. Don't ask me what I said ten minutes ago 'cause I won't remember. I have to write everything down these days or I don't know what I'm doing, have done, whatever. . . .I don't get out much anymore, I just don't have the energy. My garden looks like hell, I keep meaning to do stuff but I never get around to doing it - if it wasn't foe the help of my housekeeper twice a week I'd be living in filth & thank the gods for frozen foods, it's all I eat. My nutritionist has suggested Meals on Wheels. I said Not yet. My housekeeper will cook for me if I ask her to. My parents are in better shape than I am & they're both 82!but I'm still here & nstill fighting this damned dragon!Love You All,SuZie & her new, totally insane cat Sascha.May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead
Guest guest
Hi Joyce,I don't want a t p. I almost got one about 5 years ago but that was because they said I had Cancer & my family got pushy. Guess what - they were wrong, it was regenerative nodules - my liver was still trying to fix itself!!!!!!!!!!!!Anyways, I'm 62 years old & I figure there's someone who can use it better that I. Picture a young father who with a t p can support his family, be there to watch them grow up, marry etc or a young child who tried tx but it didn't work. These are the people who should get a t p not a single childless 62 year old llike me. My opinion.Love & HugsSuZie & Sascha the lunaticSubject: Re: UpdateTo: "suzieandsandy@..." My heart goes out to you.XOXO - Joyce
