Guest guest
Evening Ladies and Gents, After reading a couple of the previous posts about this pill, must it be taken along with the interferon and ribavirin? Just a little info on myself: Male, 54 years old, contracted the dragon after a blood transfusion in 1976 from a car accident. Both femurs were broken. After open surgery to reset the bones, (not sure if donor plasma was used during the surgery or not), but at some point, an infection developed and another procedure, (a solution of some type), was run through my thighs to clear it out. Okay, enough of that. Oh, I'm genotype 1. Found out from an exam in 1996 that I had the dragon. So I've been getting my blood checked on a six month basis for the last three years or so from my Hepatologist with regular abdominal ultrasound checks. So far, just a little scaring, (cirrhosis), of the liver, no cancer. I've never been on the interferon and ribavirin treatment, but my doctor wants me to think about starting it. Just can't seem to get by some of negative effects I've read here from a few of the members. I work for one the city utilities and can't see myself getting bogged down with the side effects of the interferon and ribavirin brings with it. So I was just wondering can this pill be taken alone?
