Hi All....

Just a little note to all....I got a full-time sub job here, working as a

teachers aide in a Special Ed class. I am really happy to not have to go from

school to school every day sud teaching. Now I have a class to go to everyday

and there are only 9 kids...with 4 teachers/aides in the class. The teacher

assigned me to help the " higher " kids everyday...4 boys...so the rest of them

could work with the " lower " kids...since they tend to have more behaviorial

problems than the boys do. I am really enjoying my days...although it can be

rather stressful...since all the children have some behaviorial issues. But...I

really enjoy working with the children and am really having a good time.

Working with these children always seems to put my physical problem in

perspective...and even my elbow is seemingly healing faster...as I am about 3

weeks ahead of schedule in my Occupational Therapy sessions. My therapist and

doctor are quite happy!!! I tend not to dwell on my own aches and pains and

concentrate on helping my kids to learn. And Yes...I am up on my feet a large

portion of the day...and yet...I don't seem to notice the pain from my RA and OA

nearly as much...in fact...today I joined my kids in playing dodgeball during

their P.E. Class...which they take with all 2nd grade children. It was really a

lot of fun playing with them and watching them have a good time.

Although I am quite tired at the end of the day, I don't seem to be so drained

and lethargic as I was before...I guess I am having fun again. Sometimes I think

we forget what it is like to just have fun. Kind of rreminds me of a scene from

" Everybody Loves " when Boyle's character would smell 's

kids heads and say... " The fountain of youth!! "

Just having fun again......
